Tahiti 80 are a French indie pop band from Rouen. The group was founded in 1992 by Xavier Boyer, Pedro Resende, Médéric Gontier and Sylvain Marchand.

Like most French singers, all of their songs are in English, not their native language, and the band's name, Tahiti 80, is a play on the T-shirt of vocalist Xavier's father. In their home country, they are best known for their song ‘Open Book’, and their song ‘Big day’ is better known to many because it was used as an insert in the game FIFA 07.
